The Diving Centre Ltd has served the North East for over 25 years. Our Newcastle upon Tyne store carries an extensive array of diving equipment, and we offer a selection of PADI diving courses delivered by experienced trainers, from Open Water Diver to continued education courses.

Our many services include equipment servicing by manufacturer qualified technicians, organised guided day trips to local dive sites, international diving holidays and a comprehensive online shopping catalogue with overnight delivery.

As a PADI 5-star Instructor Development Centre , our diver training team are all accomplished dive professionals - With years of teaching experience, we have successfully placed instructors around the globe (in Bermuda, Malaysia, Turks & Caicos, Fiji, and the Red Sea).

New divers join us every week to learn to dive, and we take great pride in continuing to introduce new faces to the underwater realm. Our coast offers spectacular diving, and we continue to enjoy escorting new people on worldwide diving holidays.

Escorted Dive Holidays
Throughout the year we run several escorted trips with our instructors from the dive centre. These trips are in conjunction with Tony Backhurst Scuba Travel and allow you to meet and dive with people from your area. Currently we have the following departures scheduled.
