Make your first underwater experience an enjoyable one, on one of our Discover Scuba programmes. In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, one of our instructors will go through the basic steps and then let you discover the novelty of breathing under water in the confines of our heated indoor pool. It is also a chance to meet some of the staff who will answer all your questions and provide general information on scuba diving.

From Discover Scuba you can then progress straight on to the Open Water course. We will even give you a £25 credit voucher towards your Open Water course when you complete your Discover Scuba Diving course with us.

(Open Water to be booked no more than 6 weeks after DSD) You will also be given the opportunity to complete you Open Water training in the Red Sea for FREE when booking one of our fabulous holidays!

The first step on the PADI ladder, the PADI Open Water Diver course will make you comfortable with the equipment you need and provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and enjoyable diving.

This course is made up of five academic modules and five pool-based modules followed by four open water qualification dives. You can take this course over a period of weeks or dive straight in and do it over a weekend !

On successful completion of the course you will be awarded the PADI Open Water Diver Certification, which will enable you to participate in Scuba Diving activities worldwide.

You need to be at least 10 years of age to enrol, capable of swimming 200m and will have to sign a medical declaration.

These are conducted at the Scuba Centre. A complete pack of course materials is included for use during the course and for future reference, and all necessary diving equipment is provided. The Scuba Centre offers you the choice of four schedules for academic and confined water training:

Weekend Course	Executive Course	One-to-One
Conducted for a maximum number of 6 students per group over a single weekend. This is our most popular schedule, run every weekend. Call for details.	Conducted for two students on a single day. Students are provided with course materials and videos and complete much of the academic learning before attending the course. Ideal for students with time constraints.	Conducted for a single student who chooses their own schedule. Videos and course materials provided for home study.

Th course is completed by four open-water training dives. During each of these dives you will be able to demonstrate key skills learnt in the pool in the open water, and also enjoy a guided tour of the local diving environment. These dives must be completed within one year ofacademic and confined water training. The Scuba Centre offer the following options for open water training.

Escorted Holiday Referral

The Scuba Centre operates diving holidays to the Red Sea and other top world dive destinations on a weekly basis. Each holiday is accompanied by one of our instructors who can complete your training as well as ensure that your first diving trip is a total success.

We can refer you to a PADI dive centre in your chosen holiday destination for completion of your open water dives.
