Iberotel Grand Sharm is situated at the edge of Ras Um-El-Sid plateau in Hadaba overlooking the Red Sea and the island of Tiran and has been described as a hillside village overlooking the Red Sea. The hotel is part of the renowned Iberotel chain and is an ideal spot for those wishing to escape the busier Naama Bay but enjoy the fantastic diving of the Sinai. This resort with its own stunning beach and three pools so is perfect for families and divers with non diving partners. The Iberotel Grand Sharm features 350 elegant and spacious rooms and suites. All are equipped with wide private balconies or terraces, most with a sea views. Each room has individually controlled air conditioning units, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, mini fridge, in-room safe, hairdryer and shower. Some rooms are available with a connecting door for family rooms. There are several restaurants and bars serving a range of continental, a la carte and local dishes. The pool bar also serves snacks during the day and its licensed bar is open till late. The hotel's pub serves a range of international beers and spirits. The famous Camel Dive Club has a satellite centre on the hotel's beach and offers guests the chance to do some house reef diving as well as a place to store gear. Every morning divers are picked up from the hotel and transfered to the Naama Bay jetty for their two daily boat dives. The Camel Dive Club is a PADI 5* Instructor Development Centre offering a full service from learning to dive, to guided boat diving, try dives and technical training. The area is well known for excellent diving with stunning drop offs, coral mazes, canyons and historical wrecks. All are encrusted in a huge variety of hard and soft coral buzzing with colourful tropical fish. Turtles, Dolphins and Sharks are often seen cruising by and Whale Sharks have been spotted in the area at certain times of year. The dive sites visited stretch from the reefs of the Straits of Tiran to Ras Mohammed Marine Park. The famous World War II wreck of SS Thistlegorm and the steamship wreck of SS Dunraven can be explored too on specially scheduled trips that run several times a week. All trips are accompanied by Camels own experienced and professional instructors.
